Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese
Posted on
There’s something about a grilled cheese that just hits every time. Melty, crispy, comforting — it's the kind of meal that’s simple, nostalgic, and endlessly remixable.
To celebrate National Grilled Cheese Day, we gave this classic a spicy, low-carb upgrade inspired by one of our favorite party snacks: jalapeño poppers.
This version swaps the bread for OA Gourmet's low-carb Sandwich Slices and is packed with bold flavor from a creamy, cheesy filling that delivers on both indulgence and satisfaction.
Ingredients (Makes 2 sandwiches)
-
4 OA Gourmet Sandwich Slices (Original or Everything)
-
¼ cup whipped cream cheese

1 tbsp shredded cheddar

Lay out your Sandwich Slices. Add half of one slice of cheddar to the bottom slice of each sandwich.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cheddar and spread evenly. Add the remaining half slice of cheddar.

Top with the second Sandwich Slice.
-
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a little butter.

Carefully place the sandwiches in the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy on each side, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Let cool for a minute, then slice and serve.
