Vodka Sauce Pizza
If you’re a fan of comfort food but want to keep it low-carb and gluten-free, we’ve got the perfect recipe for you. This Vodka Pizza is a culinary collaboration between OA Gourmet and Kaizen, combining our cauliflower-based Pizza Crust with their delicious low-carb ziti pasta for a meal that’s hearty and flavorful.
Ingredients:
• 1 pat of butter or drizzle of olive oil
• 1/4 cup vodka sauce (store-bought or homemade)
• 3 tbsp shredded mozzarella
• 1 tsp freshly grated Parmesan
• 1 tbsp ricotta
Instructions:
1. Pre-heat your oven to 425°F. While it’s pre-heating, place the OA Gourmet Pizza Crust in the oven on a ventilated rack for 5-10 minutes to pre-cook.
2. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to boil and cook the Kaizen ziti pasta for 4-5 minutes, just until it’s almost al dente. Drain and return the pasta to the pot.
3. Add a pat of butter or a drizzle of olive oil to the cooked pasta and stir to coat, then repeat with a few spoonfuls of vodka sauce.
4. Remove the pre-cooked crust from the oven and spread 1-2 spoonfuls of vodka sauce over the surface in a thin, even layer. Next, layer the shredded mozzarella, coated ziti pasta, a little more vodka sauce, grated Parmesan, another sprinkle of mozzarella, and a few dollops of creamy ricotta.
5. Return the assembled pizza on the ventilated rack to the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheeses are melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
